Job Description

Working in Hub Planner gives you the opportunity to work with the latest technology, developing the best Resource Management software on the market. With a high level of ownership, you as a Back End Developer can contribute and influence the future success of Hub Planner, driving innovative and inspiring design solutions

We believe that you are a talented Back End Developer who likes to get things done and get them done right. We are looking for a proactive developer who takes ownership of their components and understands how to handle large data sets. Not only that, we want you to be an integral part of the component design of Hub Planner as well as helping to drive the Back End framework forward.

As a team member of Hub Planner, we want you to contribute with your skills, code standards, personality and opinions, as well as being part of the team flow and culture. Our SaaS application is powered on AWS and is delivered globally.

What Your Day Would Look Like?

A hint as to what your day would involve as a Backend Developer with Hub Planner.

  • Write test driven server side JavaScript ES6 code.

  • Architect and implement new features.

  • Refactor and optimize existing code base.

  • Conduct code reviews with developers through pull requests

  • Implementing features according to internal backlog, customer’s needs and handling product related issues with urgency.

  • Provide accurate timing estimations.

  • Proactively scope and present new ideas to improve the product.

  • Work with Remote Teams.

  • Create Documentation.

  • Introduce New Technologies.

  • Be part of working with AWS Cloud Team.

  • Work with Frontend requirements.

Requirements & Skills

If you would like to be a successful Backend Developer at Hub Planner,  you will need:

  • 5 years of experience, Node.js, MongoDB

  • Experienced with JavaScript ES6 / ES7 Standards

  • High level understanding of data structures and data sizes for optimizing data flow

  • Excellent problem-solving skills that draw on both analytic and creative thinking

  • You care about engineering practices like continuous delivery and automated testing

  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to discern priorities and constraints, and to devise appropriate solutions

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks with competing deadlines

  • Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools

  • Excellent time management skills, hitting the deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards.

  • Experience with SaaS applications, especially within the Resource Management or Project Management sector is merited.

  • Excellent English Skills (our working language)

  • A proactive approach and willingness to take initiative is a desired trait you can display.
