Hub Planner is looking for an experienced Frontend Automation Tester / QA Tester with a focus on using Cypress. As a frontend QA tester in our team you will be responsible for testing our modern and reusable frontend components, that build up the entire customer facing Resource Management experience. You will drive the automation forward by writing test cases, improving the framework, suggesting improvements to the process, the tools and the product, as well as staying on top of requirements and generally being an ambassador for great quality.

Job Description

We need someone who can write automated end to end tests in Cypress. So basically a great QA person who has a core understanding of automated testing. For example someone who could

  • Plan tests, produce test data & test cases and carry out tests

  • Support the team in thinking quality and testability from start to finish, a concrete example can be to set good acceptance criteria from the beginning.

  • Communicate with and work closely with the rest of the development organization, business representatives and customers.

  • Be able to take a customer issue, replicate the issue, translate it into a readable technical ticket with expected results and follow that through until completion.

  • Be part of usability testing, new feature development and idea generation.

What Your Day Would Look Like?

A hint as to what your day would involve as a QA Tester with Hub Planner.

  • Work closely with the development team and customer team on test cases and results.

  • Create, maintain and update critical path tests.

  • Use tools like Hub Planner and Jira to document clearly the test cases to be preformed.

  • Participate in Daily Stand up Scrum meetings with the tech team

  • Handle incoming bugs from different channels and translate them into actionable and readable tickets for developers.

  • Proactively groom the backlog of old issues which are no longer valid.

  • Collaborating with the Marketing/Tech teams to assess product requirements and understand the functionality.

  • As someone who knows the product well, be able to educate and mentor other new employees on the expected behaviour and results of Hub Planner.

  • Using tools like POSTMAN to test the API and improve the API documentation.

  • Be part of new feature brainstorming

  • Confidently presenting design ideas and recommendations to the team

  • Work with Frontend requirements.

Requirements & Skills

If you would like to be a successful QA Tester at Hub Planner, you will need:

  • You have at least 3 years of experience working with automated testing in Cypress and have a burning interest in testing and quality.

  • You find the description of this role exciting and are passionate about solving challenging problems in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

  • You are used to working close to technology and close to a development team.

  • You are a positive person by nature and have a passion for what you do.

  • Understand how visual and interaction design work together to create great user experiences

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited resources by being self-motivated and working independently to deliver projects on time

  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders in English

  • Ability to discern priorities and constraints, and to devise appropriate solutions

  • Ability to think critically and creatively

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Experience with SaaS applications, especially within the Resource Management or Project Management sector is merited.
